Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Wolf kindred combat strategy piloted by Chief of the Wilds. The commander acts as both a rapid-scaling threat and a force multiplier, putting two +1/+1 counters on itself whenever another Wolf enters the battlefield while doubling all triggered abilities from other Wolves and battles. The early game focuses on developing mana through efficient ramp spells such as Nature's Lore and Talisman of Resilience, setting up card draw engines like Elemental Bond and Garruk's Uprising. In the midgame, token engines like Tovolar's Huntmaster, Nightpack Ambusher, and Chief Warg's Company generate doubled token swarms while swelling the commander into a menacing beatstick. The deck leverages versatile Golgari spot removal to disrupt opposing threats and shields its board with Inspiring Call and Golgari Charm. Finally, it closes out the game on Turns 6 to 7 using decisive overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede and Beastmaster Ascension.
