Deck overview

This deck is a specialized mono-blue combo-engine list that leverages Vnwxt, Verbose Host alongside 27 copies of Sphinx's Approach. The early game focuses on deploying a one-mana evasive creature on Turn 1 to trigger Vnwxt's speed mechanic across Turns 2, 3, and 4. Reaching Max Speed doubles all subsequent card draws and removes maximum hand size. In the mid-game, the deck uses Thrumming Stone and Sphinx of the Chimes to cascade through dozens of Approaches, tutoring Sphinxes directly onto the battlefield and drawing the entire library. The primary win condition converts massive card draw into lethal table-wide life loss through Psychosis Crawler, backed by huge flying threats like Alandra, Sky Dreamer and Body of Knowledge. While highly resilient to removal thanks to player-bound speed tracking and free counterspells like Foil, the deck lacks permanent removal for resolved stax pieces and anti-draw hatebears.
