Arcades, the Strategist by user5520206

Format: Commander

Commander: Arcades, the Strategist

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Arcades, the Strategist leads a Bant defender deck whose primary plan is to drop a wall each turn, draw a card off its enters trigger, and attack with toughness-based damage. Assault Formation and High Alert act as redundant enablers if the commander is answered. The secondary path is Wingmantle Chaplain generating a flying token army, with Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive making the low-power tokens unblockable. Axebane Guardian plus High Alert creates a large-mana engine, letting the deck chain additional walls and cast The Pride of Hull Clade as an alternate finisher. Defense is supported by a high instant-speed interaction count and several mass-protection spells.
