Lonis - It feels so lonely, let me steal your stuff! by ClyDeft

Format: Commander

Commander: Lonis, Cryptozoologist

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Lonis, Cryptozoologist helms a Simic value deck that converts creature ETBs into Clues, then cashes those Clues in bulk to cheat permanents directly onto the battlefield. Every nontoken creature that enters triggers an investigate, and a dense multiplier package - Erdwal Illuminator, Panharmonicon, Virtue of Knowledge, Academy Manufactor, Peregrin Took, Parallel Lives, and Adrix and Nev, Twincasters - turns each single trigger into a flood of tokens. Lonis then sacrifices X Clues to reveal the top X of an opponent's library and put a nonland permanent of mana value X or less into play. Finishes come primarily from combat: Tangletrove Kelp turns every Clue into a 6/6 attacker, while Shimmer Dragon, Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath, and Junk Winder add evasion, card advantage, and soft control. Backup wins are untap/bounce loops using Priest of Titania, Wirewood Symbiote, and Temur Sabertooth to generate unbounded mana and ETB triggers, ending in a Lonis dump of the entire board.
