Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Esper Ninja tempo strategy commanded by Splinter, Radical Rat. The primary game plan revolves around deploying cheap, evasive creatures on the first two turns, resolving Splinter on Turn 3, and using Ninjutsu and Sneak mechanics to swap in heavy-hitting Ninjas on Turn 4. Splinter doubles every triggered ability of attacking Ninjas, turning moderate combat triggers into overwhelming resource engines. Connecting with Ingenious Infiltrator or Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow draws massive hand sizes and drains table-wide life totals, while threats like Shredder, Shadow Master and Dark Leo & Shredder halve opposing life totals in rapid succession. The deck secures its lead with efficient interaction including Dovin's Veto, Void Rend, and Swords to Plowshares. It closes out games on Turn 6 through unblockable combat damage enabled by Splinter's activated ability, Cover of Darkness, and wide Ninjutsu strikes.
