Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov lifegain and attrition midrange strategy commanded by Sorin of House Markov // Sorin, Ravenous Neonate. The deck leverages low-cost soul-sister permanents like Soul Warden, Aunt May, and Authority of the Consuls to reliably meet Sorin's flip condition by Turn 4. Once transformed into a planeswalker, Sorin generates Food tokens and turns incremental life gains into targeted removal or lethal burn. Midgame play focuses on compounding life totals, drawing cards through engines like The Gaffer and Welcoming Vampire, and controlling the board with efficient removal including Toxic Deluge, Swords to Plowshares, and Damn. The deck closes games around Turn 6 to 8 using powerful drain amplifiers like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, Astarion, the Decadent, and Exsanguinate, or through an alternate upkeep win with Test of Endurance.
