Deck overview

This Boros deck is commanded by Brion Stoutarm and centers on a classic steal-and-sacrifice game plan. It leverages a deep suite of temporary control spells, such as Threaten and Act of Treason, to turn opposing threats against their owners before sacrificing them to Brion's fling ability. This simultaneously removes problem creatures, deals direct damage, and pads life totals thanks to Brion's lifelink. When opponents lack suitable targets, self-sacrificing beaters like Ball Lightning and heavy token producers like Phyrexian Processor provide ample fuel. High-end enchantments such as Gratuitous Violence and City on Fire amplify this damage into lethal bursts. While the deck possesses strong creature attrition and excellent lifegain buffer, it suffers from low card advantage, an absence of tutors, and vulnerability to board wipes.
