Deck overview

This Sultai deck is an innovative combo list designed around a high-density Modal Double-Faced Card (MDFC) land base and 'Oops All Spells' style self-mill engines. By utilizing 21 MDFC lands alongside land-thinning sorceries, the deck can easily remove its few traditional basic lands from the library. This enables Balustrade Spy, Undercity Informer, and Hermit Druid to mill the entire library in a single activation. Once the library is emptied, Narcomoeba and creature tokens provide fodder to flash back Dread Return, reanimating Thassa's Oracle for an immediate game-winning trigger. Alternatively, the deck can bypass the graveyard entirely through compact Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact lines into Thassa's Oracle. Abundant 1-2 CMC mana acceleration and cheap protective counterspells ensure rapid deployment and defense, while backup reanimation spells offer resilient recovery against opposing disruption.
