Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis enchantment control build helmed by Lynde, Cheerful Tormentor. It combines a dedicated Curse aura theme with robust pillowfort structures and high-tempo Grixis staples. The primary strategy uses fast mana like Sol Ring, Chrome Mox, and black tutors to assemble Curse of Misfortunes by Turn 4. On Turn 5, Misfortunes begins a chain of high-impact auras such as Curse of Bloodletting, Cruel Reality, and Curse of Fool's Wisdom, putting immense pressure on one opponent at a time. Defensive barriers including Propaganda, Crawlspace, and Silent Arbiter insulate your life total from counterattacks, while free protection spells like Deflecting Swat and Fierce Guardianship keep key permanents alive. While the deck boasts explosive starts and potent single-target oppression, its clock against the full table is inherently gradual, requiring multiple turn cycles to eliminate opponents sequentially.
