Deck overview

This Rakdos Goblin deck is commanded by Gut, True Soul Zealot and the Haunted One background. The strategy revolves around an aggressive aristocrats engine that weaponizes the combat phase. On Turn 3 and Turn 4, the deck deploys both commanders. When Gut attacks, Haunted One triggers, granting all Goblins +2/+0 and undying until end of turn. Gut then sacrifices a Goblin to spawn a 4/1 Skeleton token with menace, while the sacrificed Goblin returns to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter. This creates a resilient, high-power assault that deters blockers and board wipes during your turn. The deck leverages blight mechanics and -1/-1 counters to remove +1/+1 counters, enabling repeated undying loops. Scaling payoffs like Shared Animosity, General Kreat, the Boltbringer, and Goblin Bombardment convert this wide board into lethal damage by Turn 7. The deck features strong redundancy and high recovery, though it remains vulnerable to instant removal targeting Gut before combat and mass exile effects.
