Deck overview

This Grixis midrange deck is commanded by Marchesa, Dealer of Death, turning hostile actions against opponents into steady card advantage. The deck thrives on committing crimes by targeting opponents, their permanents, spells, or graveyards to trigger Marchesa's ability, digging two cards deep for just one mana. By pairing an extensive suite of flexible removal spells like Bedevil and Shoot the Sheriff with repeatable crime enablers like Deadeye Duelist, the deck continuously refills its hand while keeping opposing threats in check. As the midgame develops, payoffs like Gisa, the Hellraiser and Magda, the Hoardmaster translate individual crimes into armies of menacing Zombie Rogues and aggressive Dragon tokens. Finishers like Shredder, Shadow Master, Angrath's Marauders, and Mob Rule leverage this accumulated board presence to close out the game through overwhelming combat damage across multiple combat steps.
