Format: Commander

Commander: Zurgo, Thunder's Decree

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Zurgo, Thunder's Decree is a Mardu token-aggro deck that turns every attack into a growing Warrior army. The primary plan is to play Zurgo early, multiply Mobilize triggers with Isshin, Anointed Procession, Mondrak, and Elspeth, then kill through either a huge Shared Animosity alpha strike or repeated Breath of Fury combats fueled by Caesar and Roar of Resistance. The secondary path is passive drain from Purphoros, Warleader's Call, Impact Tremors, and Bastion of Remembrance. Isshin is the hidden commander because he doubles Zurgo, Caesar, Adeline, and Anim Pakal triggers. The deck also pivots to Alesha recursion and Skullclamp value if the board is wiped.
