Deck overview

This Gruul Werewolf deck is piloted by Tovolar, Dire Overlord // Tovolar, the Midnight Scourge, focusing on early creature deployment, controlling the day/night cycle, and overwhelming opponents through combat damage. The primary game plan curves out low-cost Werewolves on Turns 1 and 2, casts Tovolar on Turn 3, and automatically triggers night on Turn 4 upkeep to transform the pack. Once night is established, Tovolar generates substantial card advantage on combat damage while providing a trample and power pump sink. The deck accelerates into decisive finishes around Turn 5 using damage multipliers like Unnatural Growth, heavy anthems, or extra combat spells such as Relentless Assault and Savage Beating. It also contains a compact win condition in Spellbinder paired with Savage Beating, which generates infinite combat phases when connecting on an unblocked attack.
