Deck overview

This Dimir Zombie deck utilizes Grimgrin, Corpse-Born as a dedicated sacrifice outlet and combat threat, driving a focused Aristocrats and combo game plan. The primary objective is establishing an infinite recursion engine using Gravecrawler paired with mana-generating sacrifice outlets like Phyrexian Altar, Warren Soultrader, or Ashnod's Altar, alongside death-trigger drain payoffs such as Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Diregraf Captain, and The Meathook Massacre. Early turns develop mana acceleration, self-mill, and tutoring via Entomb, Demonic Tutor, and Buried Alive. By Turn 4, the deck reliably deploys key engine pieces or draws heavily off Skullclamp, Undead Augur, and Kindred Discovery. On Turn 5, it presents a lethal combo kill or an oppressive board lock using Grave Pact, Dictate of Erebos, and Noxious Ghoul to continuously purge opposing creatures. Free interaction like Fierce Guardianship and Deadly Rollick defends critical combo turns against opposing answers.
