Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger engine commanded by Vivi Ornitier. Vivi transforms every noncreature spell into burn damage across all opponents while steadily growing in size to provide a potent once-per-turn burst of mana. The core strategy enchants Vivi with damage-triggered card draw effects like Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout. Because Vivi deals 1 damage to each opponent whenever a noncreature spell is cast, each spell draws three fresh cards. This card velocity quickly fuels rituals, cantrips, and cost reducers into an unstoppable storm turn. The deck finishes games on Turn 5 using infinite storm loops with Storm-Kiln Artist and buyback Haze of Rage, or through a classic backup combo featuring Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Curiosity. Backed by cheap counterspells and equipment like Champion's Helm, the deck rapidly transitions from engine assembly to an immediate table-wide burn finish.
