Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red Dragon tribal strategy commanded by Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The primary game plan focuses on deploying early mana rocks and creature cost reducers to cast Lathliss ahead of curve on turn 5. Once established, casting subsequent Dragons triggers Lathliss to generate 5/5 flying Dragon tokens, rapidly creating an overwhelming aerial board presence. Payoffs like Dragon Tempest, Terror of Mount Velus, and Scourge of Valkas convert these entries into immediate burst damage and lethal combat swings. The interaction package excels at clearing non-Dragon creatures through asymmetric sweepers such as Desolation of Smaug and Breath Weapon. While the deck generates massive damage and recovers well through standalone threats like Utvara Hellkite, its reliance on high mana values and limited stack protection leaves it vulnerable to well-timed board wipes and targeted removal.
