Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai enchantress and mutate hybrid commanded by Tatsunari, Toad Rider. The game plan revolves around casting low-cost enchantments to create the legendary 3/3 Frog token Keimi. Because Keimi is a non-Human creature, it serves as an ideal host for mutate creatures from the Ikoria set, including Brokkos, Apex of Forever, Insatiable Hemophage, and Chittering Harvester. When mutated, the combined stack retains Keimi's ability to drain 1 life from each opponent whenever an enchantment is cast, while adding mutate triggers that draw cards, destroy permanents, or ramp lands. Repeatable bounce auras like Whip Silk and Shimmering Wings turn excess mana into rapid machine-gun drain triggers, amplified by Dina, Soul Steeper and Grim Guardian. Tatsunari provides built-in evasion by making frogs unblockable, allowing large mutated threats to push through lethal commander or combat damage.
