Deck overview

Mendicant Core, Guidelight leads an aggressive Azorius artifact deck that blends early tempo with late-game spell duplication. The deck uses low-cost evasive artifact creatures to deal chip damage and quickly advance its speed counter to Max Speed (4). Once at maximum speed, the commander doubles incoming artifact spells for just one generic mana, flooding the battlefield with value. Parallel token generators like Simulacrum Synthesizer and Sai, Master Thopterist convert every artifact drop into scaling board power. Heavy threats such as Kappa Cannoneer, Bronze Guardian, and Cybermen Squadron turn high artifact counts into lethal combat steps. Defensive layers including Padeem, Consul of Innovation, Dawn's Truce, and Ward mechanics protect the board from interaction, while efficient counterspells and Organic Extinction keep opposing boards under control. The deck closes games reliably on Turn 8 through wide, overwhelming combat swings.
