Deck overview

This deck is a high-tempo Temur aggro-control strategy piloted by partner commanders Pako, Arcane Retriever and Haldan, Avid Arcanist. The game plan revolves around deploying dense 0- and 1-drop mana acceleration on early turns to cast Pako ahead of curve by Turn 4. Upon entering the battlefield, Pako attacks immediately with haste, exiling the top card of every player's library to fuel its own power while building a shared exile pool. Once Haldan, Avid Arcanist enters play, the deck accesses an expansive stream of stolen lands and noncreature spells. To protect its primary threat, the list runs an extensive suite of free and 1-mana protection spells and countermagic. The win condition relies on rapid commander damage, augmented by combat tricks and evasion such as Temur Battle Rage, Trash the Town, and Sword Coast Sailor, systematically eliminating each opponent over consecutive combat steps.
