Ludevic, the Ursurper by Xara

Format: Commander

Commander: Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper and Ludevic, Necro-Alchemist

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Four-color toughness-matters build. The core plan is to assign combat damage equal to toughness via Assault Formation, Bedrock Tortoise, or Ancient Lumberknot, then smash with Charix, Tree of Perdition, and The Pride of Hull Clade. Ikra Shidiqi turns those hits into life, and Ludevic, Necro-Alchemist adds card draw. The faster kill is the Tree of Perdition + Bloodletter of Aclazotz + Soul Immolation one-shot: Tree's exchange creates a huge toughness, then Soul deals lethal damage with Bloodletter's doubling. Creature tutors (Chord, Eldritch Evolution, Shared Summons) and the Sanctum Weaver + Freed from the Real mana engine make the line realistic. The Pride of Hull Clade acts as a hidden commander, costing less as toughness accumulates.
