REAL RODENTS by Dr.Soap

Format: Commander

Commander: Chatterfang, Squirrel General

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari token- aristocrats deck helmed by Chatterfang, Squirrel General, designed to drown opponents in an avalanche of Squirrel tokens while draining them out through death triggers. The core engine is Chatterfang's passive ability, which doubles every token created, enabling exponential growth. The deck combines token generators (Squirrel Nest, Deranged Hermit, The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl) with sacrifice outlets (Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Altar, Viscera Seer) and drain payoffs (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance). Token doublers like Doubling Season and Parallel Lives push the board into absurdity, while Pitiless Plunderer converts death into treasure mana. The primary win condition is overwhelming combat after a Preposterous Proportions or incremental drain from a giant board. The deck also leverages a high density of squirrel-themed synergy pieces, including Hazel of the Rootbloom for token copying and Valley Rotcaller for life drain on attacks.
