Deck overview

This deck leverages Zimone, Mystery Unraveler to turn ordinary landfall triggers into massive mana-cheating swings. Early turns focus on accelerating mana through land-fetch spells and low-cost rocks, aiming to deploy Zimone on Turn 3 or 4. Once operational, the first land played each turn manifests dread, filtering cards into the graveyard while creating face-down 2/2 bodies. Subsequent land drops in the same turn trigger Zimone's secondary ability, turning face-down permanents face up without paying their mana costs. This bypasses the high mana requirements of game-ending threats such as Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger, Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, and Kozilek, the Broken Reality. While the deck possesses explosive tempo and substantial board presence, it relies on combat damage across multiple turns to close out games and runs limited defensive interaction, leaving its key pieces exposed to timely removal and board wipes.
