Tasha’s

Format: Commander

Commander: Tasha, the Witch Queen

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Tasha, the Witch Queen helms a Dimir theft/control deck that wins by playing cards it doesn't own. Small evasive creatures (Thief of Sanity, Nightveil Specter) attack to exile opponents' cards, while Tasha's +1 draws and page-counters instants/sorceries so her -3 can free-cast one each turn; every non-owned spell she sees makes a 3/3 Demon. Mid-game engines such as Brainstealer Dragon, Elder Brain, and Xanathar strip hands or exile the top of libraries and let you cast what was stolen. The deck is not a combo list: it closes through incremental demons, evasive beatdown, and asymmetric bounce/wipes. There is no hidden commander; Ashiok and Xanathar act as lieutenant engines who can also win with their ultimates.
