Better Bant by BacchusCVII

Format: Commander

Commander: Kellan, the Kid

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Bant deck helmed by Kellan, the Kid is a cast-from-elsewhere value engine that weaponizes suspend, foretell, plot, prepare, airbend, and paradigm. Every non-hand cast triggers Kellan, letting you freecast a permanent of equal or lesser mana value from hand or ramp a land into play. The 99 is packed with delayed-cast enablers-suspend rocks and draw, a dense foretell package, plot creatures, prepare MDFCs, and airbend payoffs-so the board snowballs once the engine is online. Vega, the Watcher and Doc Aurlock, Grizzled Genius amplify the same axis with cards and cost reduction. Primary wins come from combat: Railway Brawler, Kellan Joins Up, and paradigm anthems like Germination Practicum turn a free-cast flood into lethal pressure. The deck plays as patient midrange that converts awkward casting modes into cascading free permanents and a wide, pumped board.
