Format: Commander

Commander: Gwen Stacy // Ghost-Spider

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Jeskai "cast from exile" value engine helmed by the MDFC Gwen Stacy // Ghost-Spider. The front face is a cheap 2/1 that exiles the top card to play, while the back face - the real commander - is a 5-mana 4/4 with flying, vigilance, and haste that grows +1/+1 for every land played or spell cast from exile, and can spend two counters to re-exile and keep the chain going. The 99 is a dense pile of impulse-draw engines (Wild Wasteland, Valakut Exploration, Bonehoard Dracosaur, Eruth, Tormented Prophet, Etali, Primal Storm, Urabrask, Heretic Praetor) that flood the board with exile-cast triggers. The deck wins primarily through commander damage from a pumped Ghost-Spider, with backup burn from Quintorius Kand, Valakut Exploration, and Shadow of the Goblin, plus the occasional explosive Etali or Call Forth the Tempest turn.
