Deck overview

This is an Abzan poison midrange deck led by Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa. Its normal plan is to deploy cheap toxic or infect creatures, put at least three poison counters on each opponent, then use Ixhel to turn corrupted opponents into a recurring source of exiled cards. Mana acceleration is one of the list's strongest features, with Sol Ring, one-mana creatures, Utopia Sprawl, signets, and talismans supporting an early commander. The deck also has many ways to proliferate poison and a broad creature-removal package. Its main weakness is the closing step: Triumph of the Hordes can create a strong attack, but the list does not reliably produce enough damage to kill all three opponents at once. Vraska, Betrayal's Sting is a powerful one-player poison finisher but is too slow to serve as a dependable table kill. The deck therefore generates strong value and credible pressure, but it is not a compact competitive combo deck.
