Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet Spellslinger and Storm deck commanded by Itazura, Lingering Wick. It aims to build an efficient network of cost reducers, mana generators, and burn outlets before unleashing a lethal storm turn. During early turns, the deck ramps using 2-mana artifacts and cost reducers like Stormcatch Mentor and Ral, Monsoon Mage. Itazura provides continuous card flow and political damage through its upkeep exile trigger, keeping hands stocked and wearing down opposing life totals. Once mana engines such as Storm-Kiln Artist or Resonating Lute hit the board alongside damage amplifiers like Guttersnipe, Electrostatic Field, or Thor, God of Thunder, the deck chains inexpensive cantrips, untap spells, and storm payoffs. A single resolved Mizzix's Mastery, Mind's Desire, or storm flurry burns out all three opponents in one turn. While vulnerable to early stax, its dense redundancy and recursion ensure consistent storm velocity.
