Deck overview

This deck is a Temur Dragon tribal strategy commanded by Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm. The game plan focuses on rapid early mana acceleration using 1-CMC and 2-CMC ramp pieces to deploy Miirym on turn 4. Once Miirym is on the battlefield, every subsequent nontoken Dragon creates a nonlegendary token copy, triggering powerful enters-the-battlefield abilities twice. Burn engines like Terror of the Peaks, Scourge of Valkas, and Dragon Tempest turn creature deployment into direct damage to eliminate opposing blockers and life totals. Supporting enchantments like Temur Ascendancy, Elemental Bond, and Kindred Discovery ensure a steady flow of cards to maintain momentum. The deck closes games between turns 6 and 7 by giving large flying Dragons haste and executing lethal combat attacks alongside direct burn. High-efficiency free protection spells like Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat keep the commander safe during critical turns.
