Deck overview

This deck is a Jund -1/-1 counters midrange strategy commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. It focuses on turning -1/-1 counter distribution into massive card advantage and steady opponent life drain. The early game establishes mana acceleration using efficient green spells and mana rocks, aiming to deploy Auntie Ool on Turn 3. During the midgame, the deck leverages engines like Sinister Gnarlbark, Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, and Soul Snuffers to draw cards while shrinking opposing threats. As the game advances, asymmetric control pieces such as Kulrath Knight, Necroskitter, and Carnifex Demon completely lock down creature-based strategies and steal dying opposing creatures. The deck finishes games either by draining life totals through repeated counter placement, overwhelming the table with combat damage boosted by Unnatural Growth and Gratuitous Violence, or executing an infinite death-trigger loop with Blowfly Infestation and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons.
