kefka by Andre23

Format: Commander

Commander: Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The deck is a Grixis discard-and-wheel engine. Kefka, Court Mage makes each player discard a card on entry and attack, then draws based on the discarded card types; this generates immediate value alongside the deck's many discard payoffs. The transformed Kefka, Ruler of Ruin is the designated finish: opponent life loss during your turn becomes free draws, which loops with Niv-Mizzet and Psychosis Crawler. Secondary wins include Megrim plus Liliana's Caress wheel-drain and a Wizard subtheme helped by Harmonic Prodigy. There is no separate hidden commander in the 99; the deck is built to use the front face early and the back face as the intended finishing transformation.
