Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Green Stompy strategy commanded by Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The game plan focuses on deploying efficient mana dorks on turn 1 to cast over-statted creatures like Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Rhonas the Indomitable on turns 2 and 3. By accumulating 10 or more power quickly, the deck casts Ghalta for as little as {G}{G} on turn 4. Once Ghalta is in play, the deck transitions into a lethal combat engine, using draw engines like Garruk's Uprising and Elemental Bond to maintain card flow. It finishes opponents through massive trample damage amplified by Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth. While vulnerable to mass removal and lacking stack interaction, the deck boasts strong raw power, solid recovery through standalone backup beaters, and relentless combat pressure.
