Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul midrange strategy led by Kibo, Uktabi Prince. It leverages a unique political and economic engine: Kibo distributes Banana tokens to all players, giving opponents temporary mana and life while laying a trap. When opponents sacrifice their Bananas or when you detonate them using asymmetric sweepers like Vandalblast, Bane of Progress, and Brotherhood's End, Kibo distributes +1/+1 counters across your entire Ape and Monkey board. Cards like Bloodroot Apothecary turn artifact sacrifices into lethal poison counters, while Viridian Revel provides massive card draw. The deck protects its growing board with cards like Heroic Intervention and Legolas's Quick Reflexes, then punches through defenses using trample enablers like Kodama of the West Tree and finishers like Overwhelming Stampede or Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar. The result is an explosive tribal deck that punishes artifact-heavy tables and closes games quickly.
