Deck overview

This Abzan deck operates as a competitive hatebear-combo strategy helmed by Betor, Ancestor's Voice. The primary game plan executes a compact two-card infinite damage combo using Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Walking Ballista, supported by a secondary life-drain loop via Exquisite Blood and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Enduring Tenacity. An explosive suite of fast mana and premier tutors reliably prepares and protects this win by Turn 4. Before attempting a win, the deck disrupts opponents with potent early stax pieces such as Drannith Magistrate, Opposition Agent, and Dauthi Voidwalker, while insulating combo turns with silence effects like Grand Abolisher, Silence, and Ranger-Captain of Eos. Free reactive removal like Force of Vigor, Deadly Rollick, and Solitude maintains tempo and clears opposing locks. Even if disrupted, Betor's life-loss reanimation engine and resilient graveyard recursion ensure rapid engine recovery.
