Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir reanimation strategy commanded by Mirko, Obsessive Theorist. The game plan revolves around filling the graveyard using efficient surveil cards, then cheating massive creature threats into play well ahead of curve. Mirko grows in size with every surveil trigger and returns creatures with smaller power directly to the battlefield during each of your end steps. Devastating reanimation targets like Archon of Cruelty, Grave Titan, Sheoldred, Whispering One, and Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant strip opposing resources, generate tokens, and establish commanding board states. The deck also includes unique synergy pieces such as Nesting Grounds and Soul Diviner to remove finality counters from returned creatures, enabling repeated recursion. Backed by solid interaction, board wipes like Toxic Deluge, and multiple standalone reanimation spells, the deck grinds down opponents through steady attrition and finishes the game with overwhelming combat damage.
