Volo CSS R03 by VitorHansen

Format: Commander

Commander: Volo, Guide to Monsters

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Simic deck uses Volo, Guide to Monsters to copy creatures with unique types for value, but its real wins come from Intruder Alarm loops. Intruder Alarm untaps all creatures whenever a creature enters, so you pair it with bounce or blink effects to generate infinite mana and infinite enter-the-battlefield triggers. Volo doubles key creatures like Peregrine Drake and Mulldrifter to accelerate, while Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy and mana dorks turn untaps into mana. Secondary wins use a wide board with Craterhoof Behemoth or Pathbreaker Ibex. Intruder Alarm acts as the hidden commander; Volo is value, not required for the combos.
