Deck overview

This mono-red deck executes an aggressive Warrior typal strategy led by Gornog, the Red Reaper. It curves low-cost Warriors on early turns and deploys Gornog on Turn 3. Gornog immediately attacks thanks to haste, permanently turning opposing creatures into Cowards and boosting attacking Warriors for every Coward on the battlefield. Because Cowards cannot block Warriors, the deck systematically bypasses opposing defenses. In the mid-game, combat amplifiers such as Shared Animosity, Lovisa Coldeyes, and Raphael, the Nightwatcher, alongside extra combat enablers like Combat Celebrant and Moraug, Fury of Akoum, scale damage output to lethal thresholds. The deck maintains consistent momentum through built-in haste and high typal redundancy, allowing quick recovery after targeted removal. However, it relies heavily on combat damage and lacks protection against mass sweepers or dedicated stack interaction, requiring decisive early aggression to close the game before opponents stabilize.
