Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos forced-combat control and attrition strategy commanded by Kardur, Doomscourge. The primary game plan revolves around casting Kardur to trigger a full-table goad effect that protects the pilot while forcing opponents to attack each other each combat. By leveraging retrigger engines like Conjurer's Closet, Golden Argosy, Sword of Hearth and Home, and copy effects such as Delina, Wild Mage and Jaxis, the Troublemaker, the deck establishes a continuous combat lock. Aggressive passed threats like Slicer, Hired Muscle and Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos drastically accelerate the damage clock across the table. Meanwhile, monarch enchantments generate steady card flow and life attrition. As opposing life totals collapse from mutual combat and Kardur's death drains, the deck closes the game using late-game powerhouses like Insurrection or direct combat finishes around Turn 7.
