Deck overview

This Ayara, First of Locthwain deck is a dedicated mono-black aristocrats combo deck designed to generate continuous card advantage and life drain before closing the game with compact infinite or burst loops. The deck establishes early board presence through low-cost recursive creatures like Gravecrawler and token engines like Bitterblossom. Once Ayara enters the battlefield, she converts these creatures into regular card draw while steadily chipping away at opposing life totals. The primary win condition revolves around assembling Warren Soultrader alongside Gravecrawler, using Soultrader's Zombie typing and Treasure creation to cast Gravecrawler infinitely from the graveyard while Ayara drains the table to zero. A secondary win line leverages Plague of Vermin to produce dozens of Rat tokens in a single burst, immediately draining opponents out. The deck features strong tutor density and redundant drain pieces like Blood Artist, balanced by efficient creature removal and reanimation backup.
