Deck overview

This mono-green deck uses Thrun, Breaker of Silence as a resilient Voltron commander. Built-in uncounterability, nongreen hexproof, and active-turn indestructible protect Thrun from most popular removal spells. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with efficient one-mana dorks and land enchantments like Llanowar Elves and Wild Growth. It deploys Thrun on turn four and stacks powerful scaling Auras and Equipment such as Blanchwood Armor, Blackblade Reforged, and Bear Umbra on turn five. Once buffed, Thrun attacks with trample and double-digit power, eliminating opponents one by one through commander damage by turn eight. Supporting card engines like Eidolon of Blossoms and Toski, Bearer of Secrets replenish your hand, while instant protection spells and Umbra armor safeguard Thrun on opposing turns. Targeted fight spells and naturalize effects clear opposing blockers and problematic engines, providing a straightforward and resilient combat strategy.
