Wiz Bang! by brewbeard

Format: Commander

Commander: Gandalf, Party Guest

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gandalf, Party Guest pilots a Jeskai legendary-Wizard spellslinger deck. The primary plan is to accumulate legendary Wizards so that Gandalf's beginning-of-combat trigger can free-cast increasingly expensive instants and sorceries. Those free casts feed damage engines like Fiery Inscription, Vivi Ornitier, and Gandalf, Goblins' Bane // Flameshape, while card draw and cheap interaction keep the gas flowing. The secondary plan is a burst kill with Niv-Mizzet, Parun plus Niv-Mizzet, Visionary, where any instant or sorcery starts a draw-damage loop. Elsha of the Infinite, Kaza, and Vadrik serve as auxiliary cost-reduction and top-deck engines. The commander is single-faced; Elsha is the closest equivalent to a hidden commander.
