Deck overview

Doctor Doom, King of Latveria commands a Grixis kindred deck that blends the Villain creature type with discard and connive mechanics. The deck develops by establishing early mana rocks and low-cost Villains before casting Doctor Doom on Turn 4. Once assembled, Doom grants menace and triggers combat connive each turn, looting through the library and burning each opponent whenever lands hit the graveyard. Token generators such as Madame Hydra, Crimson Cowl, and Ultron rapidly widen the board, while Iron Monger and Doctor Octopus scale creature power and refill the hand. Decisive game finishes occur around Turn 8 through overwhelming combat attacks powered by The Squadron Sinister's flying and haste buffs or a game-ending Haunting Voyage mass reanimation. Interaction is creature-dense and reactive, supported by premier counterspells like Mana Drain and versatile removal like Lethal Scheme. The deck excels at mid-game combat pressure and incremental burn, though it remains vulnerable to sweepers and resolved non-creature permanents.
