Deck overview

This is a Golgari Squirrel-token deck helmed by Hazel of the Rootbloom, which turns a wide board of tokens into a mana engine and copies those tokens at end step for exponential growth. The primary game plan is to generate a dense swarm of 1/1 Squirrels, supplement them with Food and Treasure tokens, and then close out the game through combat pump (Overrun, Beastmaster Ascension, Banner of Kinship) or table-wide drain effects (Mirkwood Bats, Nadier's Nightblade, Valley Rotcaller). The commander's copy ability synergises powerfully with Peregrin Took and Chatterfang, Squirrel General to create huge token counts. The deck lacks robust tutoring and instant-speed interaction, relying on natural draws and incremental value to reach its critical mass.
