Deck overview

This deck is a Bant toughness-matters aggressive deck built around Arcades, the Strategist. It converts low-cost, high-toughness defender creatures into efficient beaters and repeatable draw engines. The early game focuses on deploying 0-to-2 CMC ramp and utility walls such as Wall of Blossoms and Sylvan Caryatid. Once Arcades enters on Turn 3 or 4, every subsequent defender replaces itself while presenting high combat damage. The mid-game accelerates card advantage rapidly, digging toward evasion pieces like Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive, global pump like Baldin, Century Herdmaster, or lethal trample via Triumph of the Hordes. The deck maintains stability with robust countermagic, targeted removal, and board protection like Heroic Intervention and Teferi's Protection. While heavily dependent on Arcades to attack with defenders, its card velocity and asymmetric resilience through Meekstone provide substantial operational consistency across casual and high-power tables.
