Combo by user1436072

Format: Commander

Commander: Chulane, Teller of Tales

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Chulane is not a hidden-value beatdown commander here; he is the engine and outlet of a Bant creature-combo deck. The primary plan is to accelerate with one-mana dorks, cast Chulane on turn three or four, then chain cheap creatures so each cast draws a card and puts a land into play. That chain finds and powers one of three loop engines: Aluren, Cloudstone Curio, or Intruder Alarm. The loops draw enough cards to kill with Psychosis Crawler or Laboratory Maniac/Jace, or mill everyone out with Altar of the Brood. A no-commander backup (Aluren plus Altar plus a self-bouncing creature) exists but is less consistent. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built squarely around Chulane's cast trigger.
