Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos aggressive group slug strategy commanded by Gev, Scaled Scorch. The primary game plan revolves around early deployment of Gev followed by low-curve Lizard creatures and punishing slug permanents like Zo-Zu the Punisher and Ankh of Mishra. By ensuring opponents lose life each turn through chip damage, combat, or Gev's cast triggers, all entering creatures receive scaling +1/+1 counters to build a formidable combat presence. Mid-game transitions rely on damage amplifiers such as Valley Flamecaller, Dictate of the Twin Gods, and Angrath's Marauders, or explosive mana generation via Neheb, the Eternal. The deck applies continuous passive life pressure across the entire table, forcing opponents to play under tight life margins before finishing them with combat and multi-target burn.
