Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Golgari token and aristocrat strategy commanded by Hazel of the Rootbloom. It focuses on generating a dense swarm of Squirrel, Food, and Treasure tokens to accelerate mana and fuel aristocrat sacrifice loops. In the early game, the deck establishes mana velocity through low-cost ramp spells and token enablers. Once Hazel enters the battlefield, she accelerates resources by duplicating tokens and tapping them for colored mana. The primary win condition revolves around assembling Chatterfang, Squirrel General and Warren Soultrader alongside an aristocrat drain piece such as Marionette Apprentice, Mirkwood Bats, or Bastion of Remembrance, which eliminates all opponents in a single turn cycle. Alternatively, the deck can overwhelm the table through massive combat swings powered by Overwhelming Stampede or Beastmaster Ascension. While resilient against creature-based boards thanks to Chatterfang, Squirrel General and Swarmyard Massacre, the deck remains vulnerable to well-timed instant-speed creature removal and fast spell-based combos.
