Deck overview

This Boros Voltron deck leverages Dwalin, Weaponmaster to turn low-cost Equipment into massive power buffs through cumulative hone counters. By casting Dwalin on Turn 2 and attacking early, the deck rapidly scales Dwalin's combat stats on every attack trigger. The supporting 99 focuses on cheap Equipment, Dwarf synergies, evasion tools, and a dense suite of 1-2 mana defensive instants that grant indestructible or hexproof. Because the list does not include dedicated tutors, it relies on redundancy to draw into double strike and evasion effects to close out games via commander damage. While its mana curve is very low and its defensive instant package is robust, the deck suffers from thin card draw engines, a basic land base lacking nonbasic fixing, and a total absence of stack interaction, making it reliant on fast single-target eliminations before opposing control decks stabilize.
