Deck overview

This deck is a focused Boros Equipment Voltron build centered on Bruenor Battlehammer. The primary strategy deploys low-cost Equipment and utility creatures in the early turns, casts Bruenor on Turn 4, and exploits his free equip ability to assemble a massive combat threat without paying heavy attachment costs. Bruenor's static buff grants +2/+0 per attached Equipment, quickly turning modest weapons into game-ending power boosts. Evasion equipment such as Maul of the Skyclaves and Cliffhaven Kitesail ensure attacks connect, while damage doublers like Reyav, Master Smith and Fireshrieker shorten the elimination clock. The deck features strong secondary beaters like Champion of the Flame and Valduk, Keeper of the Flame to maintain pressure even if the commander is removed. While the deck boasts explosive single-target burst damage and cheap protection spells, its linear combat focus, lack of proactive stax, and vulnerability to artifact wipes require calculated aggression.
