Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Black Big Mana Control build commanded by Gonti, Lord of Luxury. The strategy focuses on establishing land-based mana doublers and artifact ramp during the opening turns while deploying efficient creature removal and sweepers to keep the board clear. Gonti, Lord of Luxury provides incremental card advantage by exiling high-value cards from opposing libraries. In the mid-to-late game, the deck leverages massive black mana generation from Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, and Caged Sun to power out devastating threats like Bolas's Citadel, Portal to Phyrexia, and Archon of Cruelty. Reanimation spells allow the deck to cheat high-cost threats into play early or recover key permanents after removal.
