Deck overview

This mono-black deck combines edict-based board control with a scaling Voltron combat plan led by Vincent Valentine // Galian Beast. The game plan revolves around casting symmetric sacrifice effects and creature removal to systematically strip opposing boards of blockers while simultaneously feeding +1/+1 counters to Vincent. Once fed, Vincent attacks, transforms into Galian Beast, and uses native trample and lifelink alongside high-impact Equipment like Genji Glove and The Masamune to knock out opponents with commander damage. Heavy midrange engines like Grave Pact, Archfiend of Depravity, and Zodiark, Umbral God ensure the table remains empty of opposing creatures. If Vincent is disrupted, the deck pivots smoothly into large black finishers including Massacre Wurm, Rise of the Dark Realms, and Army of the Damned. While vulnerable to instant-speed exile and artifact-centric strategies, the deck boasts resilient recursive threats and consistent land flow.
